Still Life

What worked well?

Finding things that represent my personality

What was most challenging?

Finding an angle where all of the objects are in focus

What might you do differently next time?

Maybe I can find other items to put in picture that also represent me

What tools did you use and how?
I used the focus ring on the camera and lamp

What are some ways you can use what you've learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
I can create more still life to not only represent me but others too

What did I bring, and why were they important to me?
1) My stuffed animal bear, Georgie is a gift my father gave me when I was around 5 or 6, he is the oldest thing I own

2)The Breast Cancer Ribbon is because 2 years ago my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer

3)The Martin Luther King Jr shirt, because MLK is my role model

4) "I Hate My Selfie" By Shane Dawson, because Shane Dawson is my hero, some may see him as a nuisance, but I respect him because he over came mental and physical abuse and was still able to follow his dreams

5) The Disney hat, because I love Disney, and  It reminds me of my first trip to Disney World

6) My London canvas, When I graduate college, I want to move to London, because it is a beautiful city

7) My art kit, I love to draw paint and create art, I find it beautiful and relaxing

8) Love is the music picture frame, music has been a large part of my life for as long as I can remember.I write my own songs, play guitar, and I want to go to college to become a music teacher/chorale director, and later on In life because famous for my singing and my music

Mostly crop, skew, and lasso

What are some ways you can use what you've learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
To be honest, I don't know if I learned what I was meant to, but if I did then I'll try to make fun adverts for everyone to enjoy

Making the changes

What tools did you use and how?
The copy and paste tool, the clone stamp, and the eraser tool
What are some ways you can use what you've learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
I can make these and play games with my friends on Facebook

APERTURE

MEDIUM  DEPTH OF FIELD

 GREAT DEPTH OF FIELD

 SHALLOW DEPTH OF FIELD

What worked well?
This was a challenging project, but the part that worked well was figuring out which models to use and how to move them
What was most challenging?
The most challenging was the shallow depth of field
What might you do differently next time?
Next time when I'm struggling I could go back and ask the teacher for help instead of trying to figure it out on my own
What tools did you use and how?
I used the Aperture and zoom rings on the camera to put things in and out of focus
What are some ways you can use what you've learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
If I continue photography in the future, this will be useful information

                                                                          WRITING

MULTIPLE EXPOSURE

What worked well?
Taking the picture. Now creating the picture is a totally different story

TRIPOD LESSON
What worked well?
Taking the pictures and copying them into place
What was most challenging?
The chairs being sat in. Matthew moved the chairs as he sat down, so the chairs were in different places in each picture
What might you do differently next time?
Make sure that the chairs aren't moved as much
What tools did you use and how?
I used the Copy, Paste in place, Eraser, and the Lasso tool to crop Matt out of each picture
What are some ways you can use what you've learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
Now that I've learned to do this, I'll probably use this to my advantage and make better pictures like this

Photo retouching

Before (original)                                           After (retouch)

Before (original)                                           After (retouch)

What worked well?
Figuring out how all of the necessary tools had to be used

What was the most challenging?
It's between repainting the eye in the first one picture, and reattaching the left ponytail in the second picture

What might you do differently next time?
I'll try to spend an equal amount of time on both the pictures, rather than spending more time on one than the other.

What tools did you use and how?
I used the Spot healing tool to cover up tears, bends and rips, the healing brush tool to blend the back, and make the colours look the same, and the clone stamp tool to carry over some colours and bits of the picture

What are some ways you can use what you learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
If I ever get a computer or laptop that can download Photoshop, I'll use it to repair old pictures of my parents, and even older pictures of their pair, so that they'll look as good as new, and make everyone feel nostalgic

TEXTURE

What worked well?
Finding all the places I needed for my photo

Finding texture, because every texture photo I took looked flat
What might you do differently next time?

What tools did you use, and why?
I used a camera (obviously) I used the things in the image adjustment parts of Photoshop
What are some way you can use what you learned in the future; beyond the classroom?

Pop Art

What worked well?
-One of the things that worked well was finding colors that contrasted each other
What was the most challenging?
The most challenging, was the selection tool, because sometimes it would select things I didn't want it to, and sometimes I wouldn't select the things I wanted.
What might you do differently next time?
Next time, I will try to take more picture from different poses, and make sure I take enough so that I have a wide variety of photos to choose from.
What tools did you use, and why?
I used the quick selection tool, because it made selecting the main focus of my picture easier. I used the gradient map, so that I could change the colors of my pictures. I also made multiple layers, so that I could have different colored backgrounds.
What are some ways you can use what you learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
Hopefully with more experience, I can make better pop art, and be slightly more creative

What tools did you use, and why?
-Used the select tool, right click, to figure out how to flip the faces in the direction I needed them in
What are some way you can use what you learned in the future; beyond the classroom?
- I can Photoshop myself next to my celebrity crush :)
